Spring Break Bucket List

Happy Wednesday!  I have decided to create a Spring Break bucket list:
1.  Read Gone Girl (I need to read it before I watch the movie).
2.  Clean out the closets
3. Take my youngest to the movies ( Cinderella or Home?)
4.  Attempt to donate blood (I know TMI )
5.  Binge watch a series on On Demand
6. Reread CITW and Marzano's Art of Teaching

What a day!  I was all set to lead my first Balanced Literacy Meeting when the lights started to flicker, then the building went to half power, then we started to smell something burning!  We evacuated the building, stood outside for an hour, and finally decided to move the meeting to our Central Office.
Not sure if that was the best choice- I got set up, teachers started coming in, then -yikes- the power went out there too!  Our Superintendent cancelled out meeting.  But that's not even the best part- two teachers were stuck in the elevator!  Oh, my goodness!  I love the fire department- but seeing them twice in one day (at two different locations) is more than enough for me!  The fire department got them out safely, and it is the meeting that never happened!
Is someone trying to tell me something?????

First Try

Well, here it goes.  My first post on my own blog!  Must say, pretty impressed.  You may ask, "What do you hope to get from this?"  I'm not sure.  I titled this site My Learning Life because even though I have a fair amount of years behind me.... I am still learning life!
